Vera shares a beautiful yoga practice which takes you into your heart and the depths of your being, and as such is so much more than an asana/ physical practice.

We stay for longer periods of time in the asanas, so we not only reach an effect on the physical body but also in deeper layers of our being, like our pranic (life force), mental and spiritual body. As our bodies become still with a relaxed focus, our minds follow and the asana becomes a meditation.

We have an awareness phase after every asana to drop deeper and notice the effects of the asana throughout our body and spirit.

We reconnect with our wholeness, knowing that we are perfect just as we are, and that nothing has to be changed. The more we practice on our mat, the more we can make it our way of living. Being present with everything we do and living in a deeper state of awareness.

Laughter Yoga is a 'process' that enables you to laugh even if you don't feel like it. It's an aerobic exercise programme that anyone can do, anywhere, anytime, that results in health and happiness. It was created by a medical doctor, combines laughter exercises with yogic breathing and doesn't rely on comedy or jokes. And the best thing is that the body can't differentiate between real and not real laughter, so with eye contact and childlike playfulness, the laughter becomes real. The chemicals released when we laugh are dopermine, which is the reward drug, oxytocin, the love drug, seratonin, a natural cortisol killer and endorphins, which are the body's natural pain killers. Laughter Yoga at Good Vibes is a great way to start your weekend.

Kirtan in Bermagui. All Welcome

Kirtan is a joyful meditation practice which is part of Yoga tradition. It involves rhytmically chanting mantras with music. Community singing in call and response style. No previous experience is necessary.

Mantras are root or seed sounds. They are not an ordinary language. The purpose of chanting mantra is to free the mundane mind, open our heart and connect us with our infinite nature. The ancient sound vibrations invoke divine qualities and virtues such as love, wisdom, courage, peace, truth and bliss.

As a Yoga practice Kirtan bring us together as one through the vibration of mantra.

We are a group of friends in the Bega Valley who are passionate about Yoga and Kirtan. We've been playing together for some years. We feel honoured to share this simple joyful meditation with you.
